Explosion at Gaza television office

Blast at bureau of al-Arabiya satellite channel causes damage but no casualties.

    The explosion caused extensive damage to the front of the building [Reuters]

    Journalists said al-Arabiya staffers have been targets of death threats.

     

    The metal door to the office was blown off and a hole ripped in the wall. Shattered glass and broken furniture were strewn around.

     

    Firefighters extinguished the flames from the explosion, which knocked out electricity in the eight-story building.
