Abdul Ghani maintained that his reports on the Dahab
bombing were similar to other outlets' coverage
Hussain Abdul Ghani, Al Jazeera Cairo's bureau chief, was briefly detained at Cairo airport on Friday and barred from leaving Egypt on the orders of the state prosecutor.

No further details were given, except to refer to charges levelled against him in April for allegedly broadcasting false information liable to harm Egypt's reputation.
Abdul Ghani was arrested in April in connection with reports he had filed over a suicide bombing that killed 18 people in Dahab.

After being held for a day, he was released on bail. At the time, he said the reports he had sent had been similar to those published by the Egyptian and foreign media.
Al Jazeera's team and lawyers were prevented from meeting Abdul Ghani, the network said.
