British police have arrested six people suspected of involvement in a 'terrorist' plot, after raiding a home in the east London district of Newham on Thursday.

Authorities said that all the suspects, which included three brothers and a married couple, were British Muslims, without identifying them.

The arrests came just weeks ahead of the summer Olympics which London is set to host. However, police said they were not linked to the games.

Andrew Simmons reports.
