Syrian role claimed behind Berlin attack

Alleged assault prompts Germany to summon Syrian ambassador and launch police investigation.

    A member of the opposition Syrian National Council says he was attacked in Germany by agents of the Syrian government.

    The German foreign ministry has reportedly summoned the Syrian ambassador over the assault, which is now the subject of a police investigation.
