UK rally against Israel ship raid
Protesters march in central London, demanding closure of the Israeli embassy.

Protesters have marched across central London in response to Israel's deadly raid on an aid flotillabound for the Gaza Strip in the past week.

The demonstration was noisy but peaceful, with people calling for the Israeli embassy in London to close.

And there was a strong showing too, but it was matched by the city's police force.

Al Jazeera's Tim Friend reports from the scene of the protest.
