Long queues cause vote chaos

Hundreds denied chance to cast ballot before polls closed across the country.

    It has been estimated that hundreds of eligible voters across the UK have been denied the opportunity to cast their ballot in polling stations. 

    Long queues built up shortly before the polls closed forcing many to miss the deadline for the vote.  

    The electoral commission has promised an investigation into complaints about the voting irregularities.
