PKK leader open to 'peace' with Turkey

The leader of the Kurdistan Workers' party (PKK) has told Al Jazeera that he is ready for a peaceful resolution to his group's conflict with Turkey.

About 40,000 people have died in the 25-year war between Turkey and the PKK, which is looking to win self-rule for Kurds in the southeast.

Murad Karalyan says that although he wants peace, his group is prepared to fight to the end. Zeina Khodr met him in Iraq's Mount Qandil region.
