Floods hit Sri Lanka
United Nations will launch an appeal for emergency flood aid after catastrophic flooding.

The United Nations plans to appeal or emergency aid to help victims of flood-hit Sri Lanka.

At least 38 people have lost their lives and many others are still missing.

Crops have been severely damaged and thousands of people are now homesless.
