Afghan intelligence officers killed
Provincial governer says attacker is a suicide bomber.

Three Afghan intelligence officers have been killed in a bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan.

Provincial officials confirmed to Al Jazeera that three officers had died and two other people had been injured in the attack in Khost on Friday.

Sayed Ahmad Khan, the provincial district governor, told Reuters news agency that it was a suicide attack.

"The suicide bomber on foot attacked the detective while he was going to work," he said.

"No civilians were killed or wounded."
