Concerns rise over China’s farming output
While the country has nine per cent of the world’s fertile land, urbanisation is leading to a decrease in output.

China is the most populous country in the world, with a population of over 1.3 billion people.

It also leads in agricultural output, having nine per cent of the world’s fertile land.

But its 700 million farmers may not be able to sustain this for much longer.

Al Jazeera’s Marga Ortigas reports from Hong Kong.
