Plastic bottle boat crosses Pacific
"Plastiki" docks in Sydney after 12,000km journey from San Francisco.

A boat made out of 12,5000 recycled plastic bottles has arrived safely in the Australian city of Sydney, ending its 12,000km journey across the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco where it took off.

The voyage was conceived as a way to highlight the perils of plastic in the seas.
