Hong Kong holds ‘vote on reform’

Opposition candidates frame by-elections as a referendum on political reform.

Hong kong by-elections

Sunday’s elections were triggered when five opposition legislators resigned in January to pressure Beijing to implement full democracy in the former British colony.
