Benigno Aquino leads the polls as the vote count gets underway.

    Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, the front-runner for the presidency, has taken a huge lead in the race for the Philippine presidency.

    Benigno Aquino is the son of Corrie Aquino, the former president who led the 'people power revolt' that ousted Ferdinand Marcos in 1986.
