Video: Quake wrecks Sumatra town
Thousands feared trapped in the rubble after quake flattens homes in Padang.

A huge earthquake has brought death and destruction to the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

Footage from the town of Padang shows how the 7.6 magnitude earthquake flattened homes and hospitals leaving thousands of people trapped under the rubble.

Residents scrambled to put out fires caused by the quake while rescue workers struggled to reach the coastal town after access roads were cut by a landslide.
