Thousands missing after typhoon in Taiwan  

A massive rescue effort is under way as emergency teams try to locate thousands of people still unaccounted after Typhoon Morakot hit in southern Taiwan.

One village, Hsiao Lin, was completely devastated when a wall of mud hit it, residents said it was like a mountain collapsed on top of them.
