A South Korean aid group says that at least 110 people have been killed in an explosion at a fuel pipeline in North Korea.
The unconfirmed report from the Seoul-based group Good Friends says the blast happened 10 days ago in North Pyongan province, which borders China about 110 km northwest of Pyongyang.
The explosion occurred when villagers tried to collect gasoline from a cracked pipeline, the group said.
Lee Seung-yong, the group's project coordinator, told the Associated Press that that the information came from "various channels", but refused to elaborate.
North Korean official and media have made no comment on the report.
North Korea is suffering from widespread energy shortages, which see frequent power cuts across the country.
