UN to distribute Gaza flotilla aid

Israel to release aid seized in deadly raid to UN for delivery to Palestinian territory.


    The United Nations says it will distribute 10,000 tonnes of aid bound for Gaza that was seized by Israel in a bloody raid on the Freedom Flotilla that tried to break its siege on the Palestinian territory last month.

    Israel has agreed to release all of the seized goods - including construction and building materials – and the UN is to supervise its delivery and distribution in Gaza, although a delivery date has not been set.
