Mexico criticised on migrant abuse
Mexico failing to protect migrants arriving from Central America, rights group says.

As Latin American governments condemn a tough new anti-immigration law in the US state of Arizona, a human rights group has criticised Mexican authorities for failing to protect migrants arriving in their country.

Amnesty International called on Mexico to end the abuse of thousands of people from Central America travelling toward the US border.
