The United States has suspended evacuations of critically injured victims of the Haiti earthquake, until a dispute over who will pay for their care is settled, leaving tens of thousands in dire need of medical help for physical injuries.
However, a by-product of Haiti's humanitarian emergency is the psychological toll on the population. Rebuilding Haiti will mean returning people to their full mental function as well as providing physical necessities.
