Obama condemns arrest of black professor  
 

Barack Obama may have broken racial boundaries when he became the first black US president, but he has admitted that racism is common.

He made the comments after a black professor was arrested at his own home.   

Obama said the officers who arrested Henry Louis Gates acted stupidly, adding that African-Americans and Latinos have been targeted disproportionately by police. Rob Reynolds reports.
