Few can return to Cape Town’s District Six
In the 1970s, South Africa’s apartheid government declared Cape Town’s District Six “whites only” and removed 70,000 of its inhabitants by force.
As it is being rebuilt, only a few of the original residents have moved back. A political squabble is keeping thousands more away.
