Uruguay’s legal marijuana business faces challenges by banks

Two months ago Uruguay became the world’s first country to legalise the production and sale of marijuana throughout the entire country.

More people than expected registered as official buyers, and sales have shot up.

But the new industry is now facing a threat no-one predicted.
