Stand-in for banned Platini seeks FIFA presidency

Gianni Infantino is running in place of the former UEFA boss who's been banned from football during FIFA investigations.

    FIFA presidential candidate Gianni Infantino has told Al Jazeera that he has the blessing of Michel Platini to try to land the top job in world football when voting begins on February 26.
     
    At his manifesto launch in London, UEFA Secretary-General Infantino insisted he was more than just a stand-in for the banned European boss.
