Protests inspired by an encampment called 'Occupy Wall Street' in New York City's financial district have sprung up around the country and in other places around the world.

This map shows cities where other 'occupations' are taking place or being planned according to data collected on October 5, 2011, from Occupy Together - a website which describes itself as an aggregate "unofficial hub" for all the related protests.

The map has been updated with information from readers, submitted through the below form.
