Chinese ruling party starts delicate leadership transfer to young leaders.

China's ruling Communist Party is holding its national congress.

More than 2,200 delegates gathered at Beijing's Great Hall of the People on Thursday, November 8,  for the start of the week-long session that will install Vice President Xi Jinping as the party's new general-secretary.

The meeting will witness the transition of the ruling party's leadership to younger leaders.
