The main slogan of the march, "love me, its for free" was chosen in reference to the country(***)s financial crisis, with activists pointing out it doesn(***)t cost anything to accept gay rights.
Participants posed in front of the parliament, at the same spot where demonstrators protesting against austerity measures have gathered repeatedly.
Presidential guards and riot police were watching as the parade passed the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Participants raised a huge rainbow flag, the symbol of the gay rights movement.
A Christian woman displayed a holy icon.
Gay Pride events are taking place across various European towns and cities this week.
