However, two goals was not enough for Van Persie against Chelsea. His hat-trick inspired Arsenal to an incredible 5-3 victory as their recovery gathered momentum. The goals took his tally to a remarkable 28 goals in 27 Premier League games [GALLO/GETTY]
Van Persie was not only on form in the Premier League but also for Arsenal in the Champions League. His three goals against Borussia Dortmund sent Arsenal top of Group F and into the knockout stage for the 12th successive season [GALLO/GETTY]

So far this season Robin van Persie has scored 38 goals in all competitions. However, although he is the main man at the Emirates it has been a team effort that has seen the Gunners march their way up the table to third position.
