Planting progress in Kenya  
 

As part of its Millennium Development Goals, the UN began providing hybrid seeds on loan to farmers in Siaya, a village in the Kenyan province of Nyanza, in 2003.

Since then, food production has gone up as has the quality of life for the villagers.

Citizen reporter Baraka Karama visits the village to learn more.
