Some analysts say the drastic rise in tensions between North Korea and the US have played into the hands of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un.

Some analysts say the drastic rise in tensions between North Korea and the United States have played into the hands of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un.

They say that threats by the US help him improve his image and justify the use of more resources for North Korea's nuclear programme rather than resolving other issues, such as food shortages, in the country.
