South Korea: Missile defence probe not aimed to reverse deal

South Korea's president says investigation into delivery of US missile defence system is not intended to reverse its deployment.

South Korea's president says an investigation into the delivery of a US missile defence system is not intended to reverse its deployment, part of a deal between the two countries.

President Moon Jae-in says the investigation is to ensure that proper procedures were followed.

The controversial system, known as THAAD, was installed in Seongju in April.

Al Jazeera's Florence Looi reports from Seongju.
