More than 200 works of the Italian Renaissance master Michelangelo have gone on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
His work set the ground for modern western art, with many referring to him as the 'divine one'.
It took the Met eight years to collect all the Michelangelo works for this exhibit.
They came on loan from over 50 art institutions, including private collections from Queen Elizabeth and the Vatican.
Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo went to have a look.
