Erdogan: Jerusalem move could plunge the region in endless crisis

Protesters have gathered outside the US embassy in Istanbul, adding their voices to the Turkish president's, condemning Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Turkey's president has warned the US decision would cause public unrest across the Muslim world.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan was speaking at a press conference with Jordan's King Abdullah, who said Jerusalem is key to the stability of the entire Middle East.

Jordan has called for an emergency meeting of the Arab League, while Turkey hosts an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit next week.
