Five new Venezuelan governors from the only states won by the opposition have refused to be sworn in before President Nicolas Maduro's controversial Constitutional Assembly.

The opposition claims the body is unconstitutional and wants a recount of Sunday's gubernatorial elections.

They allege dirty tricks were used to secure the unexpected victory by the ruling socialists.
