Red Cross curbs Afghanistan operations after increase in attacks

The increase in violence has led the International Committee of the Red Cross to reduce its operations after the worst year of attacks against its workers.

Representatives from more than 50 countries are meeting in Moscow in a bid to develop a peace plan for Afghanistan. The Taliban and ISIL-affiliated groups have experienced a resurgence since the withdrawal of coalition forces in 2014. The increase in violence has led the International Committee of the Red Cross to reduce its operations after the worst year of attacks against its workers.
