Chile's Most Wanted
Activist - Pascual Pichun

Chilean activist Pascual Pichun is fighting for the rights of the country’s indigenous Mapuche, who are worried their identity is under threat as multinationals encroach on their disputed territory. The one million Mapuche people used to occupy 50 per cent of its territory but now they own just 0.5 per cent.

As a journalism graduate, Pascual uses his skills to investigate alleged abuses against the Mapuche and records the increasingly tense situation on his camera. Branded a ‘terrorist’ by the Chilean government for his work, Pascual has become a symbol of the indigenous Mapuche resistance movement.
